The Vantage N420 draw inspiration from the experiences of companies in the N�rburgring 24-hour race. In the year 2006 N�rburgring endurance running at an annual classic between the field most of motorsport homologated cars, entered the Aston Martin V8 Vantage near-standard road-registered. Driven by a team of employees, including Aston Martin CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin V8 Vantage - named 'Rose' by the team - finished fourth in class and 24th overall from the field of more than 200 special race car.

Since that Aston Martin has been back every year to compete in the grueling endurance race, scoring a string class victories and a podium with a road-listed and Vantages V12 V8 and the latest is a new four-door Rapide. Not only has it successfully gave birth to racing V8 Vantage GT4 developing customer programs run by Aston Martin Racing, but the lessons learned in racing at the N�rburgring has led to development of aerodynamics and performance of other fed back into the Aston Martin road cars.
